Kathmandu, Sept 27: Foreign Affairs Minister Shisir Khanal and Armenia’s Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan recently met in New York during the 81st General Assembly of the United Nations.
During their meeting, they explored shared interests and ways to enhance the friendly and cooperative ties between Nepal and Armenia, according to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
They also delved into topics like climate change mitigation, renewable energy, information technology, and how to address common issues in multilateral forums.
Additionally, Foreign Minister Khanal had a meeting with Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the Foreign Minister of the United Arab Emirates. Khanal expressed his appreciation for the UAE’s generous commitment of 25 million US dollars to Nepal.
Their discussions also covered cooperation in areas such as labour, trade, investment, tourism, renewable energy, and engagement on multilateral platforms.
