Nepal Rastra Bank (NRB) has issued a notice that there would not be any transaction with the existing Qatari currency Riyal after May 10. So, the concerned people have been urged to convert Riyal before May 10.

The NRB made such request in view of the decision of Qatari central bank to demonetize old currency notes after the printing of new notes from coming July 1.

The NRB further said the Nepalis who returned home from Qatar job might have brought the Qatari notes, so its exchange into Nepali is imperative.
