Kathmandu, June 15: The Rastriya Prajatantra Party (RPP) has said that the government’s move to announce the local level polls for September 18 in Province No. 2 by postponing the earlier scheduled date of June 28 was interference against the autonomy of the Election Commission (EC).
The RPP has also termed the government’s decision as ‘immature and short-sighted’ adding that it would spread wrong message in the international level and has asked the government to conduct polls on June 28.
RPP Spokesperson Bhuvan Pathak said that a common understanding should be developed by holding consultations with all political parties prior to taking decision in far-reaching issues.
