Gaushala, May 15: The CPN-Maoist Centre has launched its election campaign in Mahottari district on Monday aimed for the second phase of local level election.
As the first phase of election was held in various 34 districts across province no 3, 4 and 6, the second phase of the election will be held in province no 1, 2, 5 and 7 on June 14.
The week-long campaign with the theme ‘Lets go door-to-door and help make CPN-Maoist Centre a winner’ will be conducted across three municipalities and 12 rural municipalities in the district.
The launching ceremony held at Jaleshwor was attended by local CPN-MC leaders and cadres including parliamentarian Nisha Shah and Lalendra Kumar Mandal.
On the occasion, it was shared that two election campaign teams were formed which will run the campaign in six rural municipalities and one municipality each.
The campaign intends to attract voters and encourage them to cast their ballots in the upcoming poll being held after 19 years.
The leaders and cadres had illustrated on the importance of the election and voter’s participation as well as the party’s contributions.
