Police arrested central advisor of the Tharuhat Struggle Committee, Laxman Tharu, from Rupandehi this morning.
Chief District Officer of Rupandehi, Bishnu Prasad Dhakal, said that Tharu was arrested from Siddarthanagar Municipality-8 in Bhairahawa.
CDO Dhakal said that Tharu was arrested on the charge of giving statement aiming to destabilise social harmony at different programmes held in Rupandehi. Likewise, investigations would be conducted for his alleged involvement in Kailali incident.
